Hafnarborg has a policy to emphases museum education and hosts a dynamic educational program in connection with its exhibitions. The museum education is planned so students can engage with art and museum, to develop critical, conceptual and analytical skills. The aim is to support education in schools keeping the national curriculum in mind and to reach out to wider audiences whatever background they have. Furthermore to develop a base for discussion and debates and to use personal experience as a starting point to interpret and analyze.
